Found out my own answer and in case I forgot, it's the release-team mailing list. Plenty of good advice there to compiling stuff. I would have save me about 2-3 hours yesterday trying to build kdepimlibs. New dependency, Akonadi.

Yeah i've followed your instruction.

> killall plasma
> plasma

It still acting up on me. I'm building SVN right now as I type this. Living on the edge. ;-) Will see if I can actually build the thing. For some reason, most of the time that I try building KDE from SVN it always gives me an error and quit. Do you follow a mailing list somewhere about those changes ?? Ive poked around but cant seem to find fresh information about KDE svn.

Yeah, there's a plasma bug and a panel bug that combine to be really annoying;
at least the plasma one has a workaround mentioned in _README.
They just fixed plasma in svn, but I don't know about the panel issue.
Hopefully alpha1 will be better.

Tried 4.0.70 and let me tell you, plasma is acting up. The system tray is not really working. I wish I could just update the plasma stuff and leave everything as is. Oh well.
