Here is some new KDE 4 goodness from robby the work man.
Like he says in the changelog, those aren’t intended for a production desktop. I’m actually going back and fourth between the new and old KDE and … I think I like the old better still. Anyways, Ill check those out soon when I have time. You can change the packages as the usual location here.

kde-4.0.68 is not intended as a replacement for the stable kde-3.5.x series;
rather, this is a development snapshot of what will eventually become 4.1.0.
Yes, I know there’s a newer 4.0.69 snapshot available, but the kdepim with
it won’t compile, so we’ll stay with 4.0.68 for now.

and… 4.0.70 is up and ready now
Tried 4.0.70 and let me tell you, plasma is acting up. The system tray is not really working. I wish I could just update the plasma stuff and leave everything as is. Oh well.
Yeah, there’s a plasma bug and a panel bug that combine to be really annoying;
at least the plasma one has a workaround mentioned in _README.
They just fixed plasma in svn, but I don’t know about the panel issue.
Hopefully alpha1 will be better.
Yeah i’ve followed your instruction.

It still acting up on me. I’m building SVN right now as I type this. Living on the edge.
Will see if I can actually build the thing. For some reason, most of the time that I try building KDE from SVN it always gives me an error and quit. Do you follow a mailing list somewhere about those changes ?? Ive poked around but cant seem to find fresh information about KDE svn.
Found out my own answer and in case I forgot, it’s the release-team mailing list. Plenty of good advice there to compiling stuff. I would have save me about 2-3 hours yesterday trying to build kdepimlibs. New dependency, Akonadi.
4.0.74 is available now here
