Intruducing, inFluxdance

inFluxdance is a contemporary dance theatre collective comprised of artists interested in exploring and creating accessible works without boundaries. Our goal is to blur the edges of our respected defined mediums. Our intention is to provoke viewers to think, feel, and respond to the depths of our work.

The piece we will be presenting on the Fringe Circuit this season explores the idea of lost items, pieces of our own humanity that are unexpectedly found by others. For example, how do we feel when we find a love letter on the sidewalk, or a child’s postcard strewn in the street? How does it affect us as people to find, by pure coincidence, something personal and intimate that belongs to another? The interconnectedness of our lives will slowly be revealed as the characters in this piece explore their own journey.

Presented by Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, Kristin Fiesler, and Alysia Woodruff, the piece is a dance theatre work aimed to create accessible art for an eclectic audience. The piece will use text, movement, visual design to touch our viewers. In addition, all text spoken and written will be performed in American Sign Language.
