ImageKind web site in public beta is a one stop community to create, shop and sell wall art. I think it’s a great tools to add to any artist arsenal or for the art fan who wishes to add some colors to their walls. The web site carry art work from amateurs to master pieces like Rothko. You can shop or start selling within a few clicks.

ImageKind is about three things:
1. Creating art from digital files
2. Providing an online marketplace for selling art without any actual inventory
3. Providing an extensive and fun shopping experience

It’s a great way to add a special edition Star Wars poster or a Mark Rothko canvas to your wall. They offer posters, canvas transfer and framing. Their is different options to choose how you want your hand made frame to be done. You have options on the framing, the mats and the glass. Their is an unbelievable amount of style to choose from. You have six different media types available for print-on-demand, including Enhanced Matte Poster, Premium Photo Glossy, Somerset Velvet Fine, UltraSmooth Fine Art, and 2 types of print on canvas media, Premier Art Canvas and Piezo Pro Matte Canvas. Their is also 140 different mats to choose from, including rag, conservation and acid free paper mats. Their is two way to have your canvas stretched. It’s either using a museum or gallery wrap which basically the picture extend and wrap on all sides or not.

The price varies depending on what you want but for the Mark Rothko framed, it’s around 250$ depending on the options you choose and for the canvas transfer, its around 170$. If you only wanted the digital picture, the poster, it would have costed 45$. The only thing I would have liked to see is for bigger size canvas transfer. The Rothko is only 18.5″x 24.0″ which is not as big as I wish. It doesn’t mention if it will be a future feature or not but I wish it will. A huge and affordable Rothko would be a great asset on my wall!
